SsangYong Kyron Турбодизель › Logbook › This is my last entry about Chiron or why I sold it … (
This Kyron was sold by me without having been with me for three years and without departing 70t.km.
I will not write about the advantages of Kyron, there are a lot of those who write rave reviews about it, I will write about the minuses and if only before the sale I would know all this not sure if I bought this car.
So, global constructive cons:
1. For a diesel engine, the problem is the 4th injector. The problem is that the 4th nozzle sticks tightly in the well and getting it from there is an extremely difficult task. The nozzle is a consumable and under warranty it is unlikely to change, citing the quality of the fuel you fill. I know of one case when a man refueled at the “left” refueling gave more than 120t.r. for replacing this part. Why do you say so dearly, because in order to get this nozzle, you must remove your head and take it to the factory so that it can be drilled out and God forbid that you do not damage your head.
How to avoid this problem, the recipe is simple, buying a car, you must immediately put the nozzle on the thermal paste. I did not immediately find out about this and after 12t.km my nozzle did not come out, thank God it didn’t screw up during operation and went to a new owner, now it’s not my headache.
2. Kyron’s steering rack does not like extreme positions, and if you drive along narrow streets and winding serpentines for some time and turn the steering wheel all the way from the stop to the stop, get ready to replace it, which happened to me. Thank God that when she covered herself, I was not in the mountains on serpentines, but in a lowland in the city.
It’s almost impossible to prevent a problem, except don’t twist the steering wheel until it stops. This will extend the life of your rail.
3. Avstarliysky 6-speed automatic is very gentle and despite the fact that you have an almost honest SUV do not climb into the dirt and try not to carry anyone with you on a tie, it will help you save from 100t.r. on the repair of the machine.
4. The back eye, if you want to pull your comrade out of the mud, be prepared for the fact that your back eye will come off at the moment of maximum load and fly your comrade into the car at wild speed and God forbid that it should not cripple anyone.
It is easy to deal with this, the unofficials have established the production of reinforced eyes for Kyron, and I strongly recommend that at least one such one should be installed or a hitch installed.
There is still not a constructive, but a more optional minus, for Kyron, the CAP system is only in top-end configuration, while Kyron has a constant rear-wheel drive and a good point for the engine. Therefore, in winter, on slippery surfaces, you will not guess with the dosage of the gas pedal at the start with a traffic light, you have a great chance to look at your back room several times and God forbid you don’t gather all the neighbors in the start. It’s easy to fight this, we start off carefully, and if everything is very bad, we turn on the front-wheel drive and move on to the full one.
Well, the last minus is a catastrophically huge loss when I sold it, taking into account the investment in the car amounted to more than 50% of the cost when selling another warranty machine, which has been in operation for just over 2.5 years. The basic equipment for gasoline on the handle is optimal for buying, you will win when selling and lose less than 30% of the cost, but lose in dynamics, comfort and safety.
These are global and problems known to me in varying degrees manifested by many owners of Kyrons that I know. There are more, but these are more special cases and I will not cite here. I can say that of all the owners of the Karons are familiar to me, only one took Kyron a second time, all the rest were transferred to other cars. Perhaps Chiron, this is not a bad car, but unfortunately it belongs to those machines that need to be modified before use, and exploiting to look around and be reinsured in case of possible trouble.
